As most of you are aware, carrier-specific product training has become commonplace in today’s insurance and financial services industry. With the large number of carriers and products available in the marketplace, it can be frustrating to stay on top of it all.
Did you know that the following are all requirements that need to be completed prior to writing business?
- NAIC Annuity Suitability Model Regulation training
- Anti-money laundering training
- Proper licensure in resident and, if applicable, non-resident states
- Sufficient errors & omissions (E&O) coverage
- Carrier-specific product training
- Activated contracting with carriers who require it prior to writing business
Ann Arbor Annuity Exchange represents more than 30 insurance carriers and we are more than willing to walk you through the entire process of getting you contracted from start to finish. Furthermore, each new business application we receive in our office is cross-checked to make sure all licensing requirements are in good order prior to submitting your business. As most of these requirements including product training are required to be completed prior to writing new business, it is of utmost importance to make sure that you have completed them all.
If you are unsure as to the status of your carrier-specific product training or any other licensing requirement, please call the AAAE Licensing Department today at 800.321.3924 to find out before visiting clients to write business. Work smarter, not harder!
