No Child Without a Christmas 2016 - Part 1

Ann Arbor Annuity Exchange decided 13 years ago to help change the holiday season for local families. No Child Without a Christmas is our annual community-based charitable program organized by Sales Trainer Dina Mestel. In conjunction with a local chapter of the Midwest Salvation Army and their “Adopt a Family” program, we provide warmth, food, necessities, and a little extra holiday cheer to our “adopted” families.

In 2016, this group includes six families, three of which have single mothers, and a local veteran. One of our families had their house burn down and are living with extended family during the rebuild. Twelve children will be purchased for in total.

Our service-oriented AAAE “family” is in the process of getting together outside of the office to shop. Plans are also underway to coordinate a food drive with the Jackson Community Food Pantry. Very soon, AAAE’s conference room will be transformed into the central collection hub to organize and pack box after box of food and gifts, all to ensure a more joyous and happy holiday season for other individuals and families.

We look forward to sharing with you updates on the success of our 13th No Child Without a Christmas program. Stay tuned!
