Client appreciation events require a commitment of time and money. Here are some ideas for hosting an interactive, exciting, and engaging client appreciation event:
Shredding Party – This symbolic “fresh start” is a great client appreciation event for after the holidays! Host a party at your office and contract a mobile shredding company whom you have vetted and determined to be reputable. Clients can bring in paper material including old tax forms, financial records, and confidential documents to take advantage of this service. Consider offering collection and destruction of old computer hard drives. Frame the service as a tool for identity theft and fraud protection and make sure you take precautions to keep the process and information safe!
Private Tour – Think local! Highlight a special organization, destination, or location in your community. Host an evening out at a museum, winery, or non-profit venue to support a local business while giving your clients a chance to experience the uniqueness of your community. If you can book a space that is closed to the public and only open for your guests, it will enhance the VIP experience.
Movie Screening – This is a great idea for families! The planning couldn’t be easier. Just rent a theater and pick the film. Consider a classic film for seniors in your client base or an animated film for a family-friendly event.
Ice Cream Social – Although your clients may not have small children, they probably have grandchildren! And who doesn’t love ice cream? Partner with a local creamery to provide ice cream with all the toppings, a build your own sundae bar! Set up a crafting table, hire a face painter, and plan old- fashioned games like bobbing for apples. Don’t forget: lots of balloons!
Charitable events – How about supporting a local charity while hosting your clients? You could coordinate a dinner and ask clients to bring a gift for a child, a book for a library, or much-needed school supplies for schools in your community.
Many of these ideas are reproducible and could become something that you host monthly or quarterly. These events could become trademarks of your company and a great source of referrals for your business.
